About Me
Growing up, I was always building large lego sets and doing puzzles which led me to a career as a Structural Engineer where I worked on building design. Structural design involves breaking a problem into smaller components in order to achieve a larger final product just like the legos I still like to build.
After working as a Structural Engineer for almost five years, I realized that this design process was not exclusive to the structural field. I always enjoyed working on automating a process or design calculation in Excel or other software programs and decided to learn more about coding. After getting several tutorials deep in JavaScript I realized how much I loved pitting my mind against coding problems and decided to make a move toward software.
As a Software Engineer, I’ve used my problem solving experience and love of puzzles in my approach to building web applications and learning new technologies. I'm excited to put my new skills along with my detail-oriented and curious nature toward working with a team of committed developers.
